Winsor & Newton Dammar Varnish
Description
Description
This high-gloss Dammar Varnish finishing treatment is meticulously crafted for oil and alkyd paintings, ensuring your artwork maintains its integrity and beauty for years to come. By sealing the microscopic pores in the oil paint film, it offers excellent protection against dirt and grease, safeguarding the surface while enhancing your piece's visual appeal. The varnish imparts a stunning, uniform high-gloss sheen that brings out the richness of colours and adds depth to your artwork.
When it's time to re-varnish your painting, you can remove this finish with distilled turpentine. Allow your artwork to dry completely—typically 6 to 12 months—before applying this treatment. For the best possible results, apply the varnish in warm, dry conditions that promote even adhesion and sheen. Please note that this product is designed solely as a protective finish and should not be mixed or used as a medium in your painting process.
