Winsor & Newton Artists Retouching Varnish
Description
Description
This UV-resistant gloss varnish serves as an essential protective layer for newly completed oil paintings, particularly paving the way for the application of Artists’ or Dammar Varnish. Its quick-drying formula significantly improves the artist's workflow by reducing wait times and supporting a seamless creative process.
One of the varnish's standout attributes is its ability to enhance the artwork's surface sheen, creating a beautifully uniform finish that brings out the depth and vibrancy of the colours. It also safeguards the underlying paint film without impeding curing, helping ensure the artwork's longevity and durability.
For optimal results, ensure the painting is at least touch dry before application. When applying the varnish, use thin layers for the best coverage and appearance. Please note that this product is intended solely for protective use and should not be used as a painting medium.
