Winsor & Newton Artists Matt Varnish
Description
Description
This premium artist's matte varnish provides long-lasting protection for your paintings, enhancing durability and helping them stand the test of time. Its UV-resistant properties shield your artwork from harmful light exposure, while the varnish seals the tiny pores in the oil paint film, creating a barrier against dirt and grease buildup. The result is a beautifully matted surface that enhances the visual appeal of your creations.
One standout feature of this varnish is its removability, allowing easy re-varnishing. Should you need to refresh your artwork, use a solvent like Artists' White Spirit or Distilled Turpentine to lift the varnish effortlessly.
This quick-drying solution is formulated to stay crystal clear over time, so it won’t yellow, bloom, or crack as the years go by. Wait until your painting is completely dry—typically 6 to 12 months—before applying the varnish for the best results. This product is not intended for use as a medium; shake well before each use to ensure proper mixing.
