Speedball Gel Plates work particularly well with printmaking inks, especially Akua inks and their modifiers, as well as Fabric Screen and Fabric Block Printing Inks. Artists have utilized these plates to produce a variety of projects, such as aprons, lampshades, and other items.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping is complimentary for orders exceeding $100 (in Canada), exclusive of taxes and coupon codes.

The purchase must be prepaid. Orders under $100 are subject to a shipping fee determined by Canada Post based on the location and destination.

Oversized orders may be ineligible for shipping, and shipping costs will be at the customer's expense. Orders placed outside local trading areas may require 3-5 business days for delivery. Exceptions may be applicable.

Important compatibility note

Akua Intaglio Inks should not be used with homemade gelatin plates because their soy base can repel the ink. Akua Liquid Pigment Inks work with commercial gel plates and homemade gelatin plates. These plates are not recommended for acrylic or tempera paints, which may not stay open long enough for the best results.
