Shipping is complimentary for orders exceeding $100 (in Canada), exclusive of taxes and coupon codes.
The purchase must be prepaid. Orders under $100 are subject to a shipping fee determined by Canada Post based on the location and destination.
Oversized orders may be ineligible for shipping, and shipping costs will be at the customer's expense. Orders placed outside local trading areas may require 3-5 business days for delivery. Exceptions may be applicable.

Description
SpectraFix Degas is a non-toxic, odourless matte fixative made from casein (purified milk protein), water, and grain alcohol — following a recipe used by French Impressionist Edgar Degas. It protects and seals dry media without toxic fumes, making it safe for indoor use. Dries rapidly to a durable, water-resistant matte finish that remains reworkable for layering.
Features:
- No toxic fumes — safe to spray indoors
- Fast-drying invisible matte finish — ideal for ongoing work at the easel
- Reworkable layers add depth and traction, especially on thick media like oil pastels and coloured pencils
- Water-resistant, archival, and non-yellowing
Compatible media:
- Pastels: soft, pan, and oil pastels
- Drawing media: coloured pencil, graphite, charcoal, chalk
- Mixed media: watercolour, gouache, casein, ink, encaustic
- Under oil and acrylic paints: prevents underdrawing smudges; bonds permanently with oil layers
Compatible surfaces:
- All paper types (excluding LaCarte), Yupo
- Primed or unprimed canvas
- Wood, unglazed ceramic, stone, leather, glass, and more
Note: Not recommended as a final top coat over acrylic or oil paint. For those applications, seal later with an acrylic or oil varnish.
