Shipping is complimentary for orders exceeding $100 (in Canada), exclusive of taxes and coupon codes.

The purchase must be prepaid. Orders under $100 are subject to a shipping fee determined by Canada Post based on the location and destination.

Oversized orders may be ineligible for shipping, and shipping costs will be at the customer's expense. Orders placed outside local trading areas may require 3-5 business days for delivery. Exceptions may be applicable.

Description

Liquitex Professional Ultra Matte Medium extends opaque acrylic colour and reduces surface sheen to an ultra-matte finish. It lowers the viscosity of heavier paints and slows drying for softer blends.

Dramatically reduces surface gloss to give a dead matte finish with no sheen.
Maintains paint opacity, colour intensity and hue
Economically extends opaque colour to double amounts without affecting colour or acrylic stability - perfect when underpainting or running out of colour midway through
Slows drying time to help you create subtler colour blends. Lowers the viscosity of heavier body paints
Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality

How to use

The matte effect is most obvious when mixed with opaque colours
Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results
Mix as much as you like into acrylic colour to create the viscosity and transparency you want - the more you add, the thinner and more transparent your colour will become
Stir gently to avoid creating foam - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear
This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry
