Neopaque Flowable Extender serves as the base for both Lumiere and Neopaque paints. It is less viscous than the Neopaque colours, making it suitable for thinning them without affecting their adhesion. Its viscosity is similar to that of light-bodied Lumiere paints. Mixing Pearl Ex Pigments with the Extender is simple for creating custom Lumiere shades: add any Pearl Ex hue at 12-20% by weight and thoroughly mix to produce metallic or pearlescent effects. Larger pigments like Sparkling Gold and Macropearl typically require higher loads than smaller, more opaque particles. You can also incorporate standard pigments, glow-in-the-dark, or neon pigments to develop your own paints.

Additionally, Neopaque Flowable Extender can be mixed with various acrylic paints to improve durability, flexibility, and adhesion, especially enhancing wash fastness on fabric. It functions effectively as a topcoat over Lumiere, Neopaque, Textile Colour, Airbrush Colour, and Dye-Na Flow paints on leather or fabric, acting as a resilient protective varnish.
