Artisan Water Mixable Matt Varnish
Description
Description
The Artisan Water Mixable Matt Varnish is a premium UV-resistant finishing treatment designed specifically to enhance the longevity of your oil paintings. This unique varnish seals the microscopic pores within the oil paint film, creating a protective barrier that resists dirt, grease, and other environmental factors.
Once applied, it creates a beautifully matted surface that softens the appearance of colours, giving your artwork a sophisticated finish. For artists who want to preserve the integrity of their work, this varnish can be easily removed with Water Mixable Varnish Remover, allowing you to re-varnish as needed.
Ensure your painting is completely dry—typically 6 to 12 months—before applying. This varnish is intended as a final protective layer, so shake the container well before use to ensure an even consistency.
As a tip for artists, water-mixable oil varnishes can also serve as a final treatment for conventional oil paintings, offering versatile options for your artistic needs.
