SpectraFix FinalFix Fixative 10 oz

SpectraFix FinalFix is a casein-and-beeswax fixative designed for framing without glass. It delivers a slightly richer, semi-matte finish compared to Degas Fixative, with enhanced scuff resistance and the ability to be lightly damp-cleaned. Fully archival, non-toxic, and odourless — safe for indoor use.

Features:

• Beeswax-enhanced casein formula for a moisture-resistant, durable finish
• Semi-matte finish — slightly richer tone and smoother surface than Degas Fixative
• Non-yellowing, all-natural, archival quality with no fumes
• Reworkable — use as a final protective layer or throughout your project

Compatible media:

• Pastel, charcoal, tempera, watercolour, gouache, Conté crayon
• Mixed media: enhances depth of gouache and complements mixed-media finishes
• Can be layered over SpectraFix Degas Fixative or used on its own
• Not compatible with oil pastels — use SpectraFix Degas Fixative instead

Usage notes:

• Not suitable as a final varnish for acrylic or oil paintings — casein absorbs and releases atmospheric moisture, which can cause delamination over non-absorbent surfaces over time
• Can be used to layer different media within oil or acrylic artworks
