Galkyd is an alkyd resin medium that transforms how oil paint handles on the brush and on the canvas. Mix it into your colours to boost transparency, increase gloss, and dramatically speed up drying time — thin layers are touch-dry in as little as 24 hours.

The Galkyd Range

Galkyd — Thick consistency, high-gloss, enamel-like finish. Levels brushstrokes for a smooth surface. Touch-dry in ~24 hours.
Galkyd Lite — More fluid, subtler gloss, preserves brushmarks. Touch-dry in 24–30 hours.
Galkyd Gel — Sturdy gel for impasto textures with added transparency. Holds brushstroke shape.
Galkyd Lite Gel (formerly Neo Megilp) — Extended workability with a luminous, shimmering finish.

Ideal for glazing, layering, and alla prima painting. Alkyd-based and compatible with all oil colours.
