Liquitex Professional Soluvar Matte Varnish 237 ml / 8 oz
Description
Description
Liquitex Professional Soluvar Matte Varnish gives completed acrylic and oil paintings a clear, matte finishing layer. This mineral spirit-based varnish helps protect the painted surface from dust and dirt while providing an even, low-sheen finish.
Features
- Removable finishing varnish for acrylic and oil paintings.
- Dries clear with a matte sheen and a flexible, non-tacky surface.
- 237 ml / 8 oz size.
Before you varnish
Allow the painting to dry thoroughly. Drying and preparation requirements differ for acrylics and oils and depend on paint thickness and conditions. Follow Liquitex’s current product instructions for your painting system, including any isolation layer requirements.
Stir gently before use to redistribute settled matting agents. Test on a sample first, and follow the label for application, compatible solvents and ventilation. Do not clean a newly varnished painting with mineral spirits; solvents can affect this removable varnish. Consult the manufacturer’s removal guidance or a conservator when removal is needed.
