Artisan Impasto Medium

This thick, quick-drying medium adds viscosity to water-mixable oil colour, creating crisp texture and preserving brush or palette-knife marks. It speeds drying and supports layering.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping is complimentary for orders exceeding $100 (in Canada), exclusive of taxes and coupon codes.

The purchase must be prepaid. Orders under $100 are subject to a shipping fee determined by Canada Post based on the location and destination.

Artisan Impasto Medium for Water Mixable Oil Colour

Build expressive texture

Use it when you want raised marks and textured passages rather than a smooth, levelled finish. The medium helps colour dry faster, supporting layered painting while adding body to your mixture.

Formulated for Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour.
Thickens paint to help retain brush and palette-knife marks.
Speeds colour drying.
Translucent and resistant to yellowing.
Available in a 60 ml tube.

Using your medium

Follow the product label for mixing proportions, application, handling and cleanup. Plan layered oil paintings with the fat-over-lean principle in mind, and allow suitable drying time between applications.
