Winsor & Newton Dammar Varnish (the American spelling damar) is a traditional, pale yellow varnish that dries quickly to a high gloss for oil and alkyd paintings. It is traditionally used on prints and maps.

A pale yellow varnish dries to a high gloss on oil and alkyd paintings. It tends to darken with ageing and is removable with Distilled Turpentine.

• Quick drying.
• Do not use until painting is completely dry (6-12 months).
• Use in warm, dry conditions.
• Do not use it as a medium.
