Weber Synvar Varnish 473ml

Water clear glass varnish for oil, alkyd and acrylic paintings. A crystal clear acrylic resin varnish, Synvar® is an excellent final finish for oil and acrylic paintings.

It has exceptional adhesion with no tendency to crack or bloom and will dry to the touch in less than 30 minutes under normal conditions.

The durable finish will resist standard acids, alkalis and moisture and will not darken with age. It produces a soft chromatic quality when used as an oil colour medium.

• An excellent, water-clear acrylic resin picture varnish for oil and acrylic paintings.
• Synvar® dries to a gloss finish, has excellent durability, good adhesion, no tendency to blush or bloom, and good resistance to ordinary acids, alkalies, and moisture.
• Dries tack-free in less than a half hour under normal conditions.
• Will not darken with age.
• When used as a medium to mix with oil colours, it will produce a soft chromatic quality.
• Thins with Odourless Turpenoid® or Turpentine.

Application: Use Synvar as a final high gloss picture varnish for oil, alkyd or acrylic paintings. Apply thin coats of varnish with a good quality varnish brush or spray applied on a thoroughly dry painting. Synvar`s water-clear acrylic resin will not be yellow. It may be removed with mild solvents for subsequent cleaning and conservation of paintings—thin Synvar and cleanup tools and brushes with Odourless Turpenoid or artists' pure gum turpentine.
