The first chamber can be used for thorough, basic cleaning. The second chamber can then contain clean water for final rinsing, glazing, or mixing colours. The third chamber is particularly large for cleaning sponges or other large sundries. The side tray provides space for a paper towel or cloth to dry the brushes or for you to fill them with paint or brush cleaner.
Two chambers have grooves on the bottom, which can be used like a washboard for thorough cleaning. In addition, the handle serves as a practical brush holder. The brushes dry flat, preventing colour from returning into the ferrules and avoiding distortion of the brush head.
