Artists' Canvas Gallery (Deep Edge) from Winsor & Newton features 1½-inch (38 mm) deep, stapled edges at the back that can be painted to display finished paintings with or without a frame.

Manufactured to the highest quality standards using 11-oz. (375gsm) natural cotton duck, the medium grain surface is ideal for all techniques, including heavier applications of colour. It can be used with oil, water-mixable oil, acrylic, and alkyd paints. Balanced absorbency and tooth prevent sinking of oil colours and improve adhesion.

Deep Edge canvases feature professional frame construction using a heavyweight, fine quality cloth with a medium grain surface and kiln-dried, bevelled stretcher bars. Canvases are triple-coated with acid-free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented acrylic primer specially formulated by Winsor & Newton.

Each canvas is hand-stretched to achieve tailored corners and excellent tension. Ample selvage canvas on the back allows for re-stretching.
