With 82 colours chosen for their colour bias (undertone), colour strength and relative opacity, the range include bright and lightfast colours.

Intermixability
All Designer's Gouache colours are fully inter-mixable, and an opaque watercolour can be used with Winsor & Newton watercolours for a matt, flat colour effect.

Pigments
The opacity of Designers Gouache is due to the exceptionally high levels of pigmentation in the formulation, which results in covering power and clean colour mixing. The natural attribute of each pigment adds to the level of opacity and contributes to covering power.

Surface Sheen
As a result of the high level of pigmentation and Gum Arabic binder, Designer's Gouache dries to a matt finish. This reduces reflection when photographing gouache artwork.
