Relief and Lino printing is a method where prints can be explored either by the press or by hand.
Speedball Professional Relief Inks are artist-quality, oil-based, water-miscible printmaking inks. Containing only the highest-quality pigments in a transparent base, they are ideal for creating crisp, intense prints with archival qualities. Ideal for block printing! Use for a variety of relief printing techniques. Great for use on paper or textiles!
Traditional “Battleship Gray” linoleum allows artists to create finely-detailed registration and color prints. The surface is 1/8" thick and is suitable for printing with any water-soluble or oil-based relief ink and has a hessian backed and is a natural linoleum product that is bio-degradable.
Our Speedball's lino cutter assortment is crafted from quality steel and hand-ground to sharp, long-lasting cutting edges: Ideal for both soft and hard substrates: Comes with one linoleum cutter handle and linoleum cutters #1, #2, #3, #5 and #6. Also included a roller and brayer made from natural or tough synthetic rubber and are suitable for use with both oil and water-based printing inks.
The kit comes with a few relief printing papers for you to explore the characteristics of the paper that also influences the end result. Later you can shop our store for an additional assortment of printmaking papers available…
