Artists' Quality Professional line of stretched Canvas from Winsor andamp; Newton, 0.75 (19mm) deep, back-stapled, 13/16-inch profile stretched medium grain surface highest quality standards canvas. They are made with heavyweight 11oz/375gsm primed 100% unbleached (natural) cotton duck. Ideal for all techniques, including heavier applications of colour, and can be used with oil, water-mixable oil, acrylic, and alkyd paints.

Artists' Canvas is triple-coated with acid-free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented acrylic primer specially developed by Winsor andamp; Newton. Balanced absorbency and tooth prevent sinking of oil colours and improve adhesion.

These canvases feature frame construction with kiln-dried, ¾-inch stretcher bars. Tailored corners and excellent tension are achieved by hand stretching each canvas. In addition, ample canvas on the back allows for re-stretching. The 13/16-inch (19 mm) deep, staple-free edges can be painted to display finished paintings with or without a frame.
