Modelling Gel is the most viscous of our mediums, which is an ultra-thick gel capable of holding extreme texture. This gel is best applied with spreading tools and is ideal for collaging heavy objects and creating heavy impasto.
Tri-Art Gloss and Semi-Gloss Gel Mediums are, in essence, high-viscosity paints without pigment. Formulated from 100% pure acrylic polymer emulsion, they are white when wet and dry to a glossy or semi-glossy, flexible film. Tri-Art's Gel Mediums have a creamy, buttery consistency and can hold every texture detail from high peaks to fingerprints. Even in very thick coats, Tri-Art Gel Mediums maintain optimal flexibility; fast drying film, which will not yellow with time.
This makes them excellent as a colour extender or impasto glazing medium. Their superior adhesive quality makes them the ideal collage and mixed media medium.
