Jacquard Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments - 3g

Add a lustrous glow to paintings, drawings, sculpture, stamping, jewelry, and more! Made from powdered mica, these non-toxic pigments will never rust or tarnish and exhibit extreme colourfastness and stability. Use them for interior, exterior, and archival applications. Incorporate Pearl-Ex pigments into any viscous medium like oil, acrylic, gouache, varnish, wax, paper pulp, or clay. Use them for collage and mixed media art, calligraphy, faux-finishing, sculpture, papermaking, printing, candle making, pottery, and more. Their temperature resistance allows them to be fired in a kiln up to 600°F (316°C). They may also be used dry and then sealed.

Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments Pearl are our most versatile product yet! Mix Pearl Ex into any viscous medium for a metallic/pearlescent effect. Pearl Ex is a safe, inert pigment that exhibits extreme colourfastness and stability, ideal for interior, fashion, fine arts and other archival applications. It has a use for every artist, from watercolourist to auto painter, faux finisher to rubber stamper. Try it mixed with Jacquard Gum Arabic or Pearl Ex Varnish for applying to most surfaces, or mixed into one of Jacquard’s colourless extenders for use on fabric. It can also be mixed with other artist mediums, oils, acrylics, encaustic, Dorland’s Wax, polymer clays, or spread dry on porous surfaces.

Pearl Ex creates a metallic effect without being a real metal—it will never tarnish or fade. The different particle sizes produce different effects, from a smooth pearly luster, to a highly metallic sheen.
