Enkaustikos Hot Cakes Slick Wax, 177ml/6oz In Tin

Slick wax is a blend of paraffin and synthetic waxes for cleaning brushes and tools, eliminating the need for solvents. Melted slick wax is used during the painting process to rinse tools between colour changes. Excess slick wax should be wiped from the brush or tool with a paper towel. Packaged in tins for easy melting and clean-up.

Enkaustikos Slick Wax is not suitable for use as a painting medium. Its intended use is for cleaning purposes only.

Slick Wax eliminates the need for solvents in the studio. Simply keep a tin of melted Slick Wax available on the hot palette during the painting process. To move from one colour to another, rinse your brush in the Slick Wax and wipe off any excess wax with a paper towel. The Slick Wax will have removed the colour with ease.

For those who like to mix colours on their palette, use the Slick Wax directly on the palette and with a wipe of a paper towel, you will have a nice clean surface to continue colour-mixing on.
