CORK HANDLE DOUBLE POINT ETCHING TOOL
The double-ended Cork Handle Double Point Etching Tool scribe can be used in etching or drypoint processes. It has a cork handle for comfort during use—total length 6 inches.
If this tool adds detail or tone directly to the metal plate (known as 'dry point'), it will inscribe a line with a slight burr, printing a blurred, indistinct line. This effect can be controlled by manipulating the angle at which the point meets the plate.
The tool is made of high-carbon steel and designed to be periodically resharpened. The steel can be sharpened with a sharpening stone if you want a sharper tip.
