Cretacolor Fine Art Pastel Pencils' rich pigmentation and high lightfastness guarantee brilliant results. Cretacolor Fine Art Pastel Pencils are available in 72 colours. They are made in Austria.

Fine Art Pastel Pencils are superb for fine detail work, but you can also use them as a standalone medium. Enveloped in a protective cedar case, 72 luminous colours make for portable pastel perfection.

The oil-free and unburnt Pastels leads correspond with the hard pastels "Pastellcarré" by Cretacolor. The soft and highly pigmented leads give your drawings brilliant effects.

All colours can be mixed with each other, and they can be blended with water. The drawing should be protected with a fixative. The pencils are round, varnished clear, and the end of each pencil is painted in matching colour.

Cretacolor recommends sharpening pastel pencils with sandpaper. A small sheet of sandpaper for sharpening the pencils is included. Also, short cone sharpeners for chalk pencils or hand-cranked pencil sharpeners (with short sharp point adjustment) are suitable. Where sharpeners with a regular blade are used, they should be replaced regularly.

Cretacolor Fine Art Pastel Pencil Sets - These pencils are excellent for detail work, as they can be sharpened to a point. Colours can be mixed with one another or smudged. Smaller sets provide a good colour range to experiment with, while larger sets complement a collection of traditional soft pastels.
