These German-made pencils are world famous for their quality, lightfast pigments. Their opaque, water-soluble colours blend beautifully and erase easily. The large-diameter lead can make broad strokes or be sharpened to a fine point for details and lettering.
Draw with CarbOthello pencils as you would draw with a pastel stick. CarbOthello pencils can also be used like watercolour pencils — they respond instantly to a wet brush or pre-dampened paper. Pencils have semi-soft leads in a wood-cased pencil form and are pre-sharpened.

This stunning collection of STABILO CarbOthello chalk-pastel pencils is available in 60 beautiful colour shades. They can be dry-blended or smudged with either the fingertips or a blending stump to create various artistic effects. Dramatic results can be achieved when used on dark backgrounds and delicate papers, too. Areas or outlines can be lightened or highlighted using a white pencil. Partially aquarelle, the pigments can also be worked with brush and water; the contours will remain visible. These premium chalk pastels have high pigmentation with excellent light-fastness – and for superior results, the finished artwork can be treated with a fixative.
