Butter Tart Maple Filling

The best filling I ever tasted.  Not to sweet.

Ingredients - SERVINGS: MAKES ABOUT 4 DOZEN

  • 2 cups Raisins
  • 2 cups Walnuts
  • ¼ cup Margarine (dairy free) or Virgin Coconut oil
  • 4 cups Brown Sugar
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 3 cups Maple Syrup (or Corn Sugar)
  • 8 Eggs
  • 4 teaspoons Vanilla, Imitation Butter Flavour
  • 1 cup Hot water

Preparation

Warm Margarine or Coconut oil on stove med heat. In one bowl whip eggs, then add sugar, maple syrup, pinch of salt, vanilla. Poor warm margarine or coconut oil. Add walnuts and raisins. Add warm water and ready to poor in tart shells.
